“All
things
are
perceived
in the
light of
charity,
and
hence
under
the
aspect
of
beauty;
for
beauty
is
simply
reality
seen
with the
eyes of
love.”

Lucernarium:
The Time
of
Lighting
the
Lamps
As
Winter
Solstice
turns
yet
another
season,
the
longest
night is
also the
prologue
to
warming
days.
This is
the time
of
lighting
the
lamps,
remembering
that all
things
change
and our
lamp
light
within
is an
inspiration
of
gratitude
for the
year’s
endowments.
This has
been a
year of
life…an
outpouring
of
love.
Thank
you all
for
celebrating
art and
friendships,
the
sanctity
of your
lives.
This has
been a
year of
gratitude
~ for
friends
who have
shared
my
website
with the
graces
of their
art and
appreciative
friends
who view
and buy
the
art. I
hope you
all have
enjoyed
the
offerings..
Each
artist
has
enriched
my
personal
life as
well as
my
artistic
life.
Much
heartfelt
appreciation
also is
extended
to the
galleries
and
special
places
that
have
offered
me
exhibition
venues
this
past
year.
Additionally,
I give
special
thanks
to my
good
friend,
Toni
Starner
of Media
Partners,
Inc.,
who
helped
design
this
beautiful
website.
On a
personal
note, I
am
particularly
grateful
to
Shabata
Sensei,
Onyumishi
Kanjuro
Shibata
XX,
whose 88th
birthday
we
celebrated
December
28th.
His
dignity
has
given
light
for
decades
to so
many, a
gracious
strength
that
signifies
the
efficacy
within.
I also
honor
Nan C.
Merrill
and
Friends
of
Silence
who,
each
month,
uplift
me with
their
newsletter.
Nan’s
beauty
has been
a beacon
for
years
with
such
books
as,
Psalms
for
Praying:
An
Invitation
to
Wholeness;
Lumen
Christi:
Holy
Wisdom.
The rich
warmth
of our
shared
celebrations
and
sorrows
illuminates
this
season
with a
devotion
that
deepens
the hues
of
strands
I
weave.
The
series
of
Colorado
weavings
continue
to arise
from the
warp
threads.
In
addition,
my
shuttles
are
encountering
the
display
of the
season’s
wisdom
in the
coolness
of
blues,
reminiscent
of
Colorado
skies
and
whites
of the
season’s
raiment.
The
benison
of
living
in
Colorado,
for me,
among
others,
is the
miraculous
display
of sky
and
land. I
have 7
or 8 new
weavings
from the
year.
These
will be
added to
my
gallery
in the
days of
2009.
The
website
has a
new
look, a
few
minor
changes.
William
Wordsworth
wrote,
“Come
forth
into the
light of
things,
let
nature
be your
teacher.
“ I have
learned
much and
been so
inspired
by
nature’s
compositions.
There
is now a
kaleidoscope
of
landscape
photos
and
weavings
that I
hope to
turn
into a
slide
show.
There is
also a
new
email
address:
aneeshaparrone@yahoo.com.
As more
workshops
are
added,
you will
be able
to view
upcoming
events.
Sustainable

Albert

reminds
us,
“Sometimes
our
light
goes out
but is
blown
into
flame by
another
human
being.
Each of
us owes
deepest
thanks
to those
who have
rekindled
this
light. “
Thank
you for
lighting
your
Lamps.
We

the

~~
within
our
hearts
we have
a vast
compassion,
oceans
of
creativity
to bring
beauty

peace to
our

As the
glorious
sunset
of our
Colorado
December
melts
into the
dawn of
Elysium
January,
I wish
you the
beauty
and
peace of
your own
inner
garden
to
illuminate
the new

with
unsurpassable
joy.

March:
Week of
Compassion
~From
their
website:
WOC
currently
responds
to some
kind of
disaster
or
emergency
somewhere
in the
world on
average
of
approximately
once
every
one and
a half
days -
hurricanes,
earthquakes,
floods,
tornadoes,
wildfires,
war, and
civil
unrest
and
violence..
Recent
major
disasters
like the
Myanmar
cyclone,
the
China
earthquake,
and the
floods
in the
U.S.
Midwest
have
been in
the news
and have
received
much of
our
attention
and
resources.
At the
same
time, we
continue
to
respond
to other
grave
humanitarian
tragedies
like
Darfur
and the
Iraqi
refugee
crisis.
The
Global
Food
Crisis
is
impacting
more and
more
countries
and
reversing
the
modest
gains
that had
been
made in
recent
years
against
hunger,
and has
now
become
one of
our most
pressing
priorities.
